Did you know...

• Most Australians—approximately three-quarters—carry herpes simplex virus type 1, the cause of cold sores. Most people aren't aware that the virus is present, but in many cases it can cause frequent painful and unsightly outbreaks of facial sores.

• The AHMF plays an important role in raising awareness about effective new scientifically-proven treatments by disseminating management guidelines to medical practitioners and educational material to people concerned about cold sores and the other conditions cussed by viruses in the herpesvirus family.

The AHMF has a privacy policy for all information collected from its website.

The policy explicitly states:

This policy is in compliance with Australian legislation in relation to unsolicited email and the collection and use of personal information. If you make a donation to the AHMF, we will not use your personal details for any purpose other than acknowledging your payment.

If you make a donation using the PayPal facility, you provide your personal details to PayPal, a separate company from the AHMF, which has its own privacy policy available on its website.
