The DVD format provides the best picture quality, and is suitable for viewing on equipment with larger screens or in public. However, the files are large and for people with slow internet connections or small screens, the following video formats may be preferable:

  • YouTube videos embedded in pages
  • MP4 files which can be downloaded and viewed on screen or in a portable device such as an iPod

Notes on downloading

All files for the DVD are combined into a single compressed archive, using the WinRAR format. To extract these files, you will need decompression software such as WinRAR. There is a link to download the free trial version of WinRAR under the More information section at the bottom pf this page.

Please note the following:

  • The archive is a single extremely large file (1.8 GB), even in its compressed format.
  • The file may take several hours to download, even on a fast internet connection.
  • Specialist download manager software is recommended, in case your downoad is interrupted.
  • Check the data limit on your internet account. If you exceed this limit, you may be charged extra or have your internet access speed restricted by your internet service provider.
