AHMF make considerable efforts to ensure the information upon
which our guidelines are based reproduces the evidence as
accurately as possible.

Quality of Evidence
The data will usually comprise of a combination of randomised
controlled trials, controlled trials without randomisation,
cohort or case-control analytic studies, uncontrolled
experiments and opinions of respected authorities, case reports,
and expert committees.

Consensus
When the first draft is written it is distributed to all
Board members for comment and consensus. All guidelines are
discussed within the context of Board Meetings and are
redistributed to Board before going to press and prior to
printing and public release.
