Darren Russell nominated in the Bulletin's "Smart 100" - Health and Medicine Category

Dr Darren Russell, member of the AHMF General Practice Working Party,  has just been awarded The Bulletin news magazine's annual 'Smart 100' award in the Health & Medicine category.

The award recognises the work of the "unsung heroes" working in health and medicine, drawing attention to people whose work "deserved wider public recognition, even if they were well known in their particular communities".

Dr Russell is Chair of the AHMF General Practice Working Party for General Practitioners and Senior Lecturer in Sexual Health, The University of Melbourne, Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. He has 15 years' experience working in sexual health.
